Oligie Smith Osazuwa is a seasoned IT professional and Manager with over 18 years of experience in Manufacturing, Consulting, and Financial Services. He holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Benin; a specialization certificate in Software Product Management from the University of Alberta, Canada; and an MBA specialization in Advanced AI and the Future of Automation from Nexford University, USA. He is also a Certified IT Manager with Exin and a Certified Manager with the Institute of Certified Professional Managers, James Madison University, USA. He began his career in 2004 with Therapeutics Laboratories Limited as a Quality Control Officer/Chemical Analyst and later joined Nycil Limited as a Chemical Sales Engineer for synthetic resins. In 2007, he moved into the IT industry as a solution developer with Alliedsoft Limited and rose to become the team lead for database development and business intelligence. In 2010, he joined Hartford Green Consulting – a Pension software consulting company and rose to become the Technology Manager. He later joined Premium Pension Limited as Head, Database and Applications Services in 2015. He was made Head, of ICT at AIICO Pension Managers Limited in 2019 and later became Head, of Database and Applications Management with FCMB Pensions Limited after the acquisition of AIICO Pension by the latter. Smith has attended various trainings, workshops, and seminars/webinars, his interest is in tech leadership, process automation, and digital transformation with a strong bias for data and its use in driving business decisions.
