He is a 1992 graduate of Accountancy from Auchi Polytechnic. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1995 and obtained a Masters Degree in Management from the University of Port Harcourt in 2002. He started his professional career with Carnco Foods Nigeria Limited in 1993 as the Management Accountant. In 1996 he joined African Ivory Insurance Company Limited as the Head, Finance and Accounts Unit. He later joined Fortune Assurance Company Limited in 1999 where he held many management positions. He was the Group Head, Finance and Investment Department, a position he held until January 2006 when he resigned his appointment and went into private accounting practice
